About Get BINformed

Recycling advice should know its boundaries.

Get BINformed provides a nationwide entry point for disposal questions, turns reviewed local rules into plain-language answers, and says clearly when local information is not yet sufficient.

Why this site exists

A package can belong in a recycling cart on one side of a city line and in the trash on the other. National symbols and broad search results often miss those differences. Get BINformed starts with a defined service area, matches an everyday item to a reviewed rule, and explains how to prepare it.

Our editorial method

We prioritize municipal, county, state, hauler, stewardship-program, and facility sources that directly govern or administer the service. Each answer records its jurisdiction, route, preparation steps, source, and verification date. We label uncertain or time-sensitive answers for confirmation rather than presenting a guess as fact.

What advertising cannot change

Advertising, if activated, is kept separate from the checker controls and official-source results. Payment, ad placement, or an advertiser relationship does not determine whether an item is labeled recycle, trash, compost, donation, pickup, or drop-off. Sponsored content will be identified as such and will not masquerade as an official rule.

Corrections and updates

If a rule has changed, email the affected service area, item, and an official supporting link to Webmaster@KarnigVentures.com. We review source-backed corrections and update the displayed verification date when the underlying rule is rechecked.

Independence

Get BINformed is an independent informational service and is not a government agency or waste hauler. Agency and program names appear to identify sources and service boundaries, not to imply sponsorship or endorsement.
